Schools, colleges and residences chosen by The Language Room have been through a meticulous selection in order to make sure your child will stay in a comfortable and enjoyable place. Please read the detail of each residence which will vary depending on the course you choose.

In a host family:

A stay in a nice welcoming host family is a great guarantee of progress. Our host families are scrupulously selected to ensure the comfort and well-being of your child. Only families where the members of The Language Room team would be happy for their own children to stay have been chosen.

A good integration in the host family is essential to the smooth running of our courses and for your child to make visible progress in English. We want our students to feel at ease and for the family to look after their well-being personally. We remain in constant contact with the host family and the child throughout their stay.

Families who have been chosen commit to look after the child and spend some time with them. A host family can be of varying structure (couples with children to retired people), as the warmth and the welcome remains our main criteria.

The family's contact details will be sent to you two weeks before the departure of your child giving you the opportunity to get in touch prior to the course. During the stay, you and your child will be able to stay in touch by phone (and by e-mail in some families) and an emergency contact number will be provided.
